Materials:
- Small items that can be recycled (We used cardboard and paper.)
- Small items that cannot be recycled (We used plastic wrap and cut up straws and sponge.)
- Small garbage can
- Small recycle bin
- Tweezers
Directions:
To learn about recycling, have the children sort different objects in the appropriate bin – trash or recycling. They can use tweezers to pick up the objects and place them in the bins to help develop fine motor skills. Be sure to talk about why each object was placed in each bin.
